In 1823, Joseph Smith claimed he found a set of gold tablets buried in upstate New York. He was guided there by a luminescent nighttime visitor to his bedroom -- the angel Moroni. It has been suggested that the head of Baphomet, first found by the Knights Templar, was moved to a compound in the suburbs of Seattle where it continues to operate as the "inner head" of the Illuminati. However this rumor that the Illuminati regrouped in the early 70's as a software company (in response to the publication of the Illuminatus trilogy) has been backtraced as a "joke," and there is no evidence that the Microsoft campus in Washington state has twenty three buildings.
