In 1823, Joseph Smith claimed he found a set of gold tablets buried in upstate New York. He was guided there by a luminescent nighttime visitor to his bedroom -- the angel Moroni. The revelation of the Book of Mormon bears significant similarities to the "typical" encounter with alien gnosis such as angelic beings, dream communication, and hieroglyphic code. The result of this particular contact was the lucrative trademarks of the Mormon church and related its corporate entities.

After leaving the Navy, Laffayette Ronald Hubbard moved to a bohemian mansion in Pasadena where he performed ritual magic with John "Jack" Parsons, one of the founders of the Jet Propulsion Lab and the high priest of the local lodge of the Ordo Templi Orientis. The two of them performed a night time ritual in 1946 called "The Babalon Working" in an attempt to produce a "moonchild," an attempt regarding which Aleiser Crowley wrote, "I get fairly frantic when I contemplate the idiocy of these louts."

In 1947 -- the same year the Dead Sea scrolls were found -- Hubbard claimed he died, left his body, and received a Revelation of Great Knowledge. The eventual result was "Dianetics," along with the lucrative religious trademarks of the Church of Scientology and its related corporate entities. Aleister Crowley died on December 1, 1947.

A few years later, Jack Parsons -- at the time among the world's experts in rocketry and explosives -- "accidentally" blew himself up in his garage. A crater on the dark side of the moon is now named after him.

It has been suggested that the head of Baphomet, first found by the Knights Templar, was moved to a compound in the suburbs of Seattle where it continues to operate as the "inner head" of the Illuminati. However this rumor that the Illuminati regrouped in the early 70's as a software company (in response to the publication of the Illuminatus trilogy) has been backtraced as a "joke," and there is no evidence that the Microsoft campus in Washington state has twenty three buildings.

Bill Gates has a mug shot in the Albuquerque, New Mexico
police files from 1977, but the record of the original offense has been lost, as have all
communications records from Roswell Army Air Field for July 1947. In the mug shot, Bill Gates
is smiling.
